The nicotine is absorbed through your gums and cheek. You must bite the gum a few times and then keep it against your cheek for it to work correctly. If you chew it like ordinary gum, it won’t work effectively.
You can pick up nicotine gum at your local pharmacy. You don’t need a prescription to use it, but you should read the package carefully to learn how to use it properly. Chew it a few times, then rest it against your cheek for 20-30 minutes, chewing slowly every few minutes.
